(Sees the new anime season line up)

Every year anime fans fight to get caught up on their anime lists, and Lord knows, we have so much to watch.

There are shows both old and new that we need to scratch off our lists, but the plethora of anime that get released each season can be so daunting. It makes it difficult to keep up with your original list while adding so many more to the agenda.

Ugh, why does anime have to be so diverse, plentiful and amazing?

… Wait, what am I saying?

I hope these recommendations can be of some help to you, friend šŸ™‚

Because I’ve gone through the Fall line-up and there are eight shows in particular that I think stood out from the rest! These are either too important or too interesting to ignore, so let’s get this train rolling!

Here are 8 anime you should check out this Fall!

The Final Season of Fairy Tail

I know this show’s been around for many years, but this is going to be a must watch for any Fairy Tail fan. Love it or hate it, this long-running show needed an ending and now that it’s getting one, it deserves to be on this list.

Goblin Slayer

The fan-favorite manga Goblin Slayer is now getting its own anime adaptation, and from what I hear it’s going to be quite a ride! This anime is going to be dark, action-packed, and is not for the faint of heart. It’s full of violence, gore, mature themes, and there’s no guaranteeĀ that it’ll be censored. So if you were looking for a fluffy fantasy anime this season, you should stay FAR AWAY from this one. But if this has you interested, you should know that it’s a Seinen often compared to Berserk, so it’s a plus if you already enjoy the legendary manga.

If you like dark fantasy shows and want to see a crazy amount of goblin slaying, this is an anime you’re not going to want to miss!

Sword Art Online: Alicization

Well, at least the SAO fans will be happy X)

In this sequel show (or new arc? I really don’t know), Kirito is trapped (yes, again) in a fantasy video game world,Ā but this time around there are sentient NPC’s. Could this be an opportunity for quality storytelling? Or is this just to get us to hope that we’ll actually get something good? Either way, we’ll no doubt be hearing about it for quite a while.

If this new twist on the original show has you interested, or you’re already a fan then this should be on your list.

Golden Kamuy Season 2

Golden Kamuy was one of the spring season’s stand-outs as a really cool, severely weird and enjoyable anime. With unique and enjoyable characters to follow and a future full of possibility, it’s no surprise the fans wanted to see more. If it was love at first sight for you, then you’ll be overjoyed to hear it’s getting a season 2 this October!

That’s right! The ‘Immortal Sugimoto’ andĀ AsirpaĀ are coming back soon, and you’re not going to want to miss the new adventures they go on to find that Ainu gold!

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

Yes, that’s the actual name of the anime.

This is another manga adaptation, and follows an MC who’s been killed and reincarnated as a slime! How bizarre does that sound? If you’re looking for an interesting fantasy show with an original premise, then you should keep an eye out for this one šŸ˜‰

DOUBLE DECKER! Doug and Kirill

This one sends us back to the world of Tiger and Bunny! The anime is being referredĀ to as an “original buddy cop drama” spin-off, and so far it looks AMAZING. Just watch the trailer to see if it’s for you, but considering the way this is being described, what’s not to like?

Karakuri Circus

In case the image above didn’t spell it out for you, this show looks like it’s aiming to be a mix of surreal and creepy. It’s being adapted from the original manga and has an interesting premise. The story is about a boy called Masaru Saiga, who wants to be a puppeteer. He inherits a fortune after his father’s death and, no surprise, everybody wants it.

This anime is mysteriously enticing and if you’re into this type of show (or really like circus related media), give it a try. I know I will!

Wonder if it will have clowns?

… Oh no.

Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-San

Boy, there’s no end to the bizarre anime this season, is there?Ā

This one is also based on a manga, and it’s about a skeleton who works at a bookstore and all the hilarity that ensues. The show may be a bit too bizarre for this anime fan, but if you like comedy and think the synopsis is too good to ignore, then this might be your favorite show of the season.

Thank you so much for reading!

Hopefully, this will help narrow down your watch list this Fall. Either way, this season will be interesting indeed. What did you think of this list? Did any of these interest you?
